I would like to see y’all kayda’s blubber in action. Rolling from cover to cover.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 62 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If you thought their surprise attack was a success, wait til you see how it goes when they announce it ahead of time.

This ought to be good.

[–] paddirn@lemmy.world 59 points 2 years ago (5 children)

I wish some of the Mexican drug cartels would show up there at the same time, and then all the assholes in both countries could just finish each other off and leave the rest of us alone.

[–] The_v@lemmy.world 62 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Please....the cartels would wipe out meal-team-six in minutes and keep going.

Actual murderers who are trained in violence versus stupid cosplayers.

[–] smut@lemmynsfw.com 36 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

The stupid cosplayers still have the means to murder unarmed, desperate civilians for the crime of being born on the wrong bit of dirt with the wrong amount of melanin.

That's why they're going. We don't need to politely pretend that the people who kill children for ringing their doorbell or accidentally getting in their car aren't just looking for any excuse to kill someone with their cool guns.

[–] Facebones@reddthat.com 12 points 2 years ago

Don't forget, crossing multiple states to hot beds of activity until you find someone to shoot is apparently self defense now.

[–] Nollij@sopuli.xyz 14 points 2 years ago

Something tells me the cartels aren't too concerned about these "border protections". Why would they get involved? In fact, the whole thing works out pretty well for them as a distraction.

[–] aew360@lemm.ee 9 points 2 years ago

I would be cheering for the cartels in this scenario

A retired US Army lieutenant colonel is organizing an armed convoy next week to the Texas border to, he says, hunt down migrants

takes Green Beret courage to hunt down orphans and mothers in dire circumstances i guess.. is that the kind of courage they teach at Army Ranger School nowadays..

They're so eager for a civil war that they want to start one next week?

[–] AllonzeeLV@lemmy.world 23 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm just surprised they want to ruin their Superbowl parties learning the same lesson as their loser Confederate idols.

The sooner the better. How else will you make sure we have a white Christian nationalists government before the election.

Is Russia paying for this one like the one in Canada too?

[–] digeridoo@lemmy.ml 45 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Imagine how much further we would be as a society if we didn't have to deal with this stupid shit.

[–] vanontom@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

The fact that the fairly drama-free Obama years are probably the best (or least insane) I'll see in my lifetime is incredibly depressing. These miserable, deranged lunatics and terrorists are determined to make life hell for everyone else, too.

[–] arymandias@feddit.de 30 points 2 years ago (4 children)

Why is it so common to blame those poorer, weaker, and more desperate than you for your problems. Yes live probably has gotten worse, and obvious problems are not being solved, but migrants are the last people to blame. It’s such a destructive tendency, and it’s sad to see the same mistake happening again and again.

[–] andyburke@fedia.io 13 points 2 years ago

The worst bit? The people most mad have the most in common with the migrants: low job security, lack of healthcare, food insecurity... if the people flying their Trump flags high would take just one second to look at themselves and at the rest of us they'd realize the enemy isn't people, it's unchecked capitalism.

And on that, I bet we actually agree. I just don't want to fix it with a side of hurting people who are different than me, that's all.

[–] Cannibal_MoshpitV3@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

Because the border policy here is "fuck them brown people"

should be pretty easy to round up and incarcerate if they coagulate like that

[–] Deceptichum@kbin.social 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That relies on the government actually doing something to stop them. Something its shown countless times it’s afraid to do.

Fat cells do have a tendency to "glom", as it were.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 27 points 2 years ago

When the attack the feds, let them suffer the consequences.

All this shit keeps going because they didn't arrest all those morons taking over the wild life refuge years ago. It encouraged this crazy take on us military ideology. This is going to end very badly one day.

Oh look, the gravy seals are out waving guns around trying to intimidate people again.

It's almost like the slap on the wrists these guys receive only emboldens them to keep doing it.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Lets get them all there then give Texas back to Mexico.

LOL wait til they realize they're just shutting themselves off from receiving economic benefits. Really trying to fast track Texas' isolation. Good - they can support their own now. Stop expecting shit from California and other states. No one wants to visit the Alamo, where another force of volunteers failed. No one really wants to move there they just have to due how cheap all the dusty flat shit they call land is. The weather is garbage.

I guarantee you this battle would be over in less than an hour. Lol

[–] Sabata11792@kbin.social 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They want the backlash, bloodshed is just the potential medium.

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

They're domestic terrorists trying to be martyrs.

[–] Nollij@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 years ago

I really don't think any of them have thought that far ahead. Much like a 19-year-old with a sports car, they all think they are (at least personally) invincible.

Fox "News" doesn't even have to roll out the ever terrifying "migrant caravan" this election season.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago

the war on drugs is running dry so they need a new fake war.

[–] Dead_or_Alive@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

It would be a shame if another cold spell hit that area of the country while that convoy was there. Imagine being in the middle of the desert as your fuel supplies run out while the temperature is freezing… Yep real shame.

[–] afraid_of_zombies@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Don't worry, not a single one of them is going to miss work.

Good. They'll all be in the same spot when the Insurrection Act kicks off.

Much easier to round them up that way.

[–] Djtecha@lemm.ee 5 points 2 years ago

Ahh yes the ol we can't let terriost in so we've become terriost strategy.
