It's probably some bullshit like: "It's a threat to Russia because it strengthens Poland's independence and sovereignty."

The Russians used to bluster a lot like that. They also said that the EU project to build a standard-gauge railway through the Baltic States was an act of war. They probably still say things like that, but now everyone ignores them.
