some unfortunate takes i see from this accouncement:

theres no mention of the level editor itself being released which would make new campaigns and major edits to base campaign design impossible, beyond editing data like enemies and spells which unofficial mods can already do

also their last game DOS2 had some stupid proprietary audio format so you couldnt add new dialogue (i belive they fuckin nuked any way to export any audio to the editor), which may still be a thing in BG3

If they pull this off like Bethesda did all those years ago with Morrowind, BG3 could become an eternal classic. Thank goodness they stood up to the plate given Bethesda’s abysmal fall from grace.
