Well I want to watch this! I got an official Reading Rainbow shirt Burton was selling close to a decade ago, but it doesn’t fit anymore.

LeVar visited my university on a speaking tour during his campaign against book bans and was a delight. The warmth he displayed when talking about his relationship with literature and his genuine passion towards promoting it was inspirational. My only complaint was that I couldn't hear him talk for another hour.

Yeah, Reading Rainbow was never just a gig for him (he was also the EP). He's always been a passionate advocate for reading and childhood education. I'm glad he's still fighting the good fight and gets to enjoy knowing that an entire generation of adults consider what he accomplished with Reading Rainbow to be right up there with Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.

What does "...scores release from theaters" mean in this headline? I can't parse it

I believe that "scores" here means "joyfully or thankfully obtains". Swap "scores" for "obtains" and the headline makes more sense.

Oh, of course, that makes sense. I was reading this too early in the morning.

The whole title is cancer without context
