One of the few shows where I hope they deviate from the source.

No dolls? No cosplay? The romance plot goes absolutely nowhere, too.
Reading on reddit, most people are convinced the author has health issues and can't continue making it even if they wanted. That's the only thing I can think of that explains how abrupt this ending is, really. A real shame, and it doesn't bode well for the anime, either.
I tried with Lettie, but there are so many landmines in her conversation tree that I simply couldn't be bothered to continue second, third, and fourth guessing every message I sent her. Ultimately I pissed her off and that was that.
No idea. Only the demihuman characters work this way. Nobody gets old old from leveling either. I would understand it better if it were just physical progression, but the added insult of the slave character in question getting passed around from slaver to slaver while being stuck with the mentality of a child is just straight up fucking bonkers. IIRC she even loses the slave crest that binds her to the MC but she insists she undergo the process of being enslaved to him again because it "strengthens their bond" (LOL.)
It's worse. The MC's love interest is an enslaved child who only ages up because the MC forces her to fight and "level up." Apparently in the novel she even regresses back to a child at one point lmao. Nothing weird to see here!
I know fans of this show claim the slavery aspect is super nuanced, but it seemed super sketchy in the anime.
Dress up Darling
Unless the last chapter is an absolute banger, I can't imagine a bigger fumble of a manga than this. I'm guessing the author either has health issues or is simply burnt out, because the plot is nowhere close to wrapping up. There's multiple ongoing plot threads, including big ones that were just introduced 2 or 3 chapters ago. I'm hoping it's just an excuse for her to take a break and come back with a sequel, but I don't know how common that is.
I can see some backlash happening if players can't reach the same damage output they could with statsticks. I trust Pablo, though.
Dunno how far you got in Haibane Renmei, but that show really is fantastic. Very interesting world with lots of room to ponder what it all means.
Perfect description of DanMachi. Could never put into words why it got so exhausting to watch.
Keep them there. "3.0 + 1.0" or whatever the last one is called might be the worst thing I've forced myself to watch. Completely indecipherable, looks ridiculous, and lacks direction. They're just weird movies overall. If you watch 1.0 it gives you the impression you're watching a remake of the series, but each new entry deviates from the OG until it's completely detached. I'm sure there's some 4D chess going on to explain how it's all tied in, but I don't have 50 hours to spend on evageeks these days.
I liked it at first, but 2 seasons were enough for me. I watched a bit of 3, saw it was more of the same, and tapped out. The side characters are infinitely more interesting than the MC, whose development can best be described as glacial.
Jade's AC-130 mode helps a lot. Funnily enough, she can get staggered in the air when the tank first shows up, but after that she's fine.
That's great, but that's all the show has going for it. The dialogue is uniquely terrible in a way that defies explanation. Could be a dub issue I guess? Subs weren't that great either.
