That is the main reason I still have an account but I seldom use it for anything other than messanger... I was planning on deleting my facebook account and make a new one but that plan changed.

I'm happy I stopped using facebook. I only use messanger now and never facebook. I hate that shit like a disease.

It's insane that that book is proven to be right time and time again. I just hope Putin will stop his agression with Ukraine and not move forward in east after this was is complete.

Is that peppes pizza? 🤣

[–] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

No, that's the point. Both the less exspensive and the exspensive products will go up in price because of this. Just look at what happened with washing machines under Trumps first period. They went way up in price and drying machines did also go up in price. This will happen to most products in general if these tolls will be implemented. China will never pay for these tarrifs and the consumers will be the ones that has to.

[–] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago (3 children)

That's not how it works. Other products will also become more exspensive as a result. The competitors will not hold back on the prices.

That is not really true. Also if the news would have to constantly say he was lying (which they do) then thry would use all there time on it because he lies constantly.

No of course he doesn't care as it doesn't affect him. He is rich and don't give a single fuck about anyone but himself. The whole giving him a chance to negotiate is also BS. China and other countries will never pay these tarrifs and therefore it will be more expensive because the cost will be higher for the end consumer

Something I think Trump is great at is pointing at other factors for why things would be bad. For instance he will point to the imigration and other thing instead of his own actions. I fucking hate this guy but I have to admit he is good at what he is doing and that is lying.

No. The only thing that will happen is that US prices will sky rocket. Just check out the price of washing machines under his first presidency.

It's going to be fun when americans understands this.

That makes no sense 🤣 if they had done that then it would mean they would have to develop the game all over again in UE5. UE5 and redENGINE are two different engines and there is no "upgrading" from one engine to the other without making the game all over again in the different engine.

Hello. I'm having a problem where i get this error everywhere when using LemmyNSFW. Any idea why this is and how to fix it?

Handling The Undead is a norwegian horror movie based on a swedish book by the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist (Let the Right One In). It's a very unusual zombie movie as it focuses very much on the grief and pain the families of dead ones goes through and then they struggle even more once their loved ones comes back to life. I think it was a great slow burner, I love those types of horror movies that take their time. But I have to say it would have been better if they speeded up the beginning a bit.

It's out on rent right now and will most likely come on streaming later. I watched it on Apple TV+, it was like $12 there. I can recommend it, just note that it is slow and it's not the usual zombie flix.

I'm norwegian and very rarely watch norwegian movies because I find them extremely boring. This on the other hand was interesting, mostly because of Renate Reinsve. She recently played the leading role in The Worst Person in the World, a movie I would highly recommend if you're into drama movies. She is really one of our best actors at this point in time.

Trigger warning: It contains scenes of suicide attempts and a dead child coming back to life. There is also a few violent scenes but it wasn't to bad in this part. There were no blood that I can remember which I found odd.

We've all different and got different reasons why we like horror. What's your reason?

I saw this movie this week and I thought it was pretty good. At first I was like "not again" about the ending but after thinking about it, it was pretty clever. Charlie Shotwell plays amazingly in his role as Eli and Lili Taylor as his doctor. It's creepy from the get-go with this old house that have been renovated for special patients.

One of the thing that made less sense to me, and this will be spoiler so I will use spoiler tag:

spoilerWhy did they make this place in the first place? Did this many "demons" get "treated" there? That part of the story gave no sense, and while Eli found documents showing that there where other kids that had experienced this, I just felt like this is one of the shallowest parts of the movie.

What do you guys think about this movie? It's on Netflix.
