Don't know about iPhones but by default on all of the Android phones I've had other than the first one its blocked. There's still call recorder apps in the Playstore but they don't work. Not sure if it's only blocked in my country because its illegal if you don't inform the other party and allowed in others but I imagine its just easier to block it everywhere. I believe you can root the device or use a custom rom to allow it.

I found this interesting. The AI said it believes in forgiveness.
