I have looked and I see people make their own instance of lemmy

But how would I create a community on lemmy.world?

Say I wanted to make a community for a certain game discussion

This is my main issue with fedi sites

I use mastodon and all anybody is taking about is twitter

I use lemmy and all anybody is talking about is reddit

I was advised by a redditor to join '.word' because ml was overwhelmed

Not really sure what the difference is tbh. I'm here interacting with an ml community so why not?

I'd like to know if I can make my own subreddit equivalent though?
