From my experience, yes. Especially since tabs or a table with invisible grid lines are usually the better tools for this job.

But people still use their computer like a typewriter, 25 years after those went out of fashion.

In fairness, you're right. I just spent a few minutes looking at higher resolution images of the box and it does not make that claim.

That said, the meme captures the spirit of an era pretty perfectly. I still think it hits the nail on the head.
