Retroarch is my go-to for retro gaming. It's pretty amazing. I do find the UI to be confusing though.

Yes with child, but not like I used to. Used to stay up till early hours and it was no big deal to chill all Saturday playing a game. Now it's all about the quick 30 minute fix. Meh it's better this way.
