Switched to iOS and its ecosystem after 10 yrs. No regrets but I am still hoping to see an improvement with the navigation gestures. in c/apple@hardware.watch

Android is not a monolith. Recent pixel OSes are really intuitive and smart. What OP probably meant was Android has well-defined and consistent back gestures but for iOS you're at the mercy of individual developers
