It's also fairly cheap to buy 32+ GB of RAM, lots of choices for under $80. Meanwhile, I'm not even sure how you find a video card with 32GB of VRAM (not that you really need this much, 12GB and 16GB are pretty solid for a video card nowadays).

Crap, you are right, units should be in Wh not W/h and as a result I put the conversion to hours backwards. Well, that turns the whole thing from an impressive amount of energy to basically none!

Edit 2: Eheran pointed out I screwed up the math. Correct total energy output is 13μWh. A very, very, very small amount of energy.

(2x10^15^ W) * (25s/1x10^18^) * (1 h/ 3600 s) = 13μWh

Previous bad math:

spoiler

~~The key thing here is the burst lasted for "25 quintillionths of a second long". Meaning it had a total output energy of 180 W/h, or how much energy a standard US space heater (1.5KW) outputs if it was on for 7.2 minutes.~~

~~That is a pretty impressive amount of power coming in instantly to a small spot. Would leave basically zero time for it to dissipate into surrounding materials.~~

~~Edit: Fixed the math. (I hope)~~ ~~(2x10^15^ W) * (25/1x10^18^ s) * (3600 s / 1 h) = 180W/h~~

I was wondering why they were circling around it when it's low-armor butt is right there. Then it zeroed in on the open hatch. Can't go lower than zero armor!

The Germans visibly laughed when they were warned of such a dependence on Russia in 2018. For some reason, they didn't find such a poor decision to be of concern.

As a comparison, France has invested heavily in nuclear and the Nordic countries heavily on renewables.

Trump has been much, much too friendly with Putin. However, even Trump seems increasingly pissed at him. For example two weeks ago there was news the US is sending a Patriot battery to Ukraine.

Estonia shouldn't have demonstrated weakness by letting the shadow fleet tanker go a few days ago just because Russia flew a jet overhead. If you show weakness, if you appease dictators, you will get stepped on.

The UPS should have a USB plug in the back. Plug that into your computer and it will read the battery status as if it was a laptop. Then in your OS, set the standard shutdown options when low on battery.

especially if you wanted to play Halo on PC

I still giggle that after years and years of Halo 3+ being a console exclusive, and Halo 2 sucking on Windows for years*, the entire Halo collection now has a Gold rating on Linux. I have very specific memories of being annoyed for years that the most prestigious Microsoft game doesn't work on a Microsoft gaming platform (Windows).

*God damn does Games for Windows Live suck

Works perfectly fine on my machine I bought over two decades after the game came out, looks significantly better than when the game came out too. Not sure how much more upgradability you could possibly want.

Yeah, and as long as these things never touch the internet, there really isn't an issue.

They are spending shitloads of money on weapons that immediately get blown up, this pushes up GDP figures. What doesn't go up is productive work/investments that further the interest of the people of the nation, investments that would continue to reap rewards in the future.

Obviously this isn't to say that all military spending is bad, far from it, but Russia is dumping piles money into a war they started and never needed to happen. They aren't defending themselves from some threat, they are simply burning money and resources.
