Picked up Terra Nil and I’m really enjoying it. One of those games you can play to relax and calm down after a long day.

She has made many appearances on the TWiT network over the years. Always interesting to hear what she had to say. Hopefully she finds somewhere supportive to continue her work.

Looking forward to the day when I use Darktrace’s AI threat detection to stop ChatGPT’s AI generated threats…

What a world we’ve built!

You do this with Shortcuts.

Same device, same issue. I feel like I barely touch it and it refreshes. Loving the app so far!

Been looking for this as well.

I’m pretty liberal but I work for a construction company with a lot of very conservative people, and my father and his family are catholic and very conservative as well. I regularly interact with a lot of people that share vastly different views.

I get it. Just have to be careful about the language we use when we want to change minds.

I’m an atheist. I disagree that this is about intelligence… I think it’s more about ignorance. This is an important distinction and I think it’s more harmful to our cause to demean them the same way they might do to marginalized groups.

A lot of people have trouble empathizing with those in marginalized groups because they don’t have anyone close to them that is affected by their hateful ways of thinking. Often, just having a family member or friend come out to them is enough to open their mind. I think that most of the time, these people just lack the information (emotionally) necessary to understand harmful their beliefs have been. Years of indoctrination make it so much harder to overcome, but indoctrination doesn’t necessarily mean they lack intelligence. I think the words we use are important tools in changing minds.

Hey Steam Deck community. I’m hoping that I can get some help from the community.

  1. Is it possible to unlock my Windows PC remotely? I currently run Home Assistant, and have WOL setup so I can easily wake it, but without logging in, I can’t stream to my Steam Deck. Is there any way around that? I am not willing to remove the login password from my PC. This is the main thing I want to solve.

  2. Should stream via Steam or is there a better option? Moonlight?

  3. When you stop streaming from the deck, what happens to the game on the PC? Does it stop running?

Thanks in advance!

After rebuilding my dashboard, I have created a bunch of subviews for the rooms in my house. Since doing this, I now have these arrows appearing when I open the app. Tapping the arrows makes them disappear. I’m see this in the mobile app and in Safari on my Mac.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, what the reason for it is, and if there is any way to fix/stop it.

Anyone else think this would be useful?

Sometimes it isn’t convenient to use Siri to trigger a Shortcut and I think Control Center would be a great place to be able to do this.

Just like we can make a Shortcut available on Apple Watch, we could have a checkbox to make it show in a new Control Center menu.
