Is there a reminder/alert system for due or soon-to-be-due tasks?

So’s diabetes. Lesser of two evils.
The first one is artificial sweetener in small sachets. Second is liquid that is also a (sugar free) sweetener but has the appearance of milk - many use it instead of milk because it acts as both. The third is a flavoring that is specifically designed for coffees, it’s what you get when you buy an eg white chocolate flavored coffee at a drive thru or Starbucks. They splash some of this flavor in.
Numpad not needed since already have number keys above the alphas (and you can buy separate tenkey pads if they’re really needed). The extra space on desktop gained by a shorter keyboard is far more useful. All of mine except two are TKL, the others are 60%. Below that you fall into specialist territory and having typed on QWERTY layouts with function keys for decades I think I’m a bit too old to unlearn and relearn typing, but some people find it fun to use weird and wonderful ortho, dactyl or 40% keebs with multiple programmable “layers”.
Here’s all three.
Coincidentally I only just recently finished reading “Dark Matter” by Blake Crouch.
I do, but it’s because my wife works from home and spends three quarters of the day with the chick cave door closed doing teams meetings. Generally my msgs will be “want brunch/coffee/pastries?” etc.
When I make coffee in the morning I put in one packet of pink sweetener, then half sugarfree liquid creamer and half milk then microwave it for 30 seconds to bring it back up to temp. And sometimes a splash of a Torani flavor for absolutely no reason. Could I just use a little more creamer instead of the sweetener? Sure. Could I use even more creamer and NO milk? Sure, I guess. I just enjoy mad scientisting my coffee. Wife just sighs and gets out of my way in the kitchen.
I'm really stingy when it comes to subscriptions and honestly paying for anything at all that I don't have to. But the few things that I and the wife are happy to drop a dime on are Prime, Netflix and unlimited cable and cell data. I got the Verizon NF and Starz deal last year, 1 year for both for $74 and I watch NF constantly. Every day. I'd pay $20/month for it easily. Similarly I'm always buying shrapnel on Prime. I know I could live without it but it's essential enough to us to warrant the outlay.
It’s a fairly normal start, and “must not force you to use an account” wasn’t listed in your set of requirements. The account is because the app supports completely free syncing across multiple mobile and desktop platforms. Just use any throwaway google account or create a new one just for the purpose. No subscription and it is FOSS.
Just use Simplenote.
Don’t forget Brendan Eich/Brave.
