I wasn't gonna vote for Biden, but Janet Yellen and Anthony Blinken really changed my mind

This implication that Halal slaughtering processes purposefully maximize animal suffering has real "those savage bloodthirsty arabs" vibes. The methods may not be particularly kind, but let's not pretend what happens to animals in the west is any better. And it's particularly gross and inaccurate to say that religious food laws purposefully maximize suffering.

I wanted to play a 15 year old video game from my childhood which I'm nostalgic for. My options were to buy a digital copy online for 60 dollars, the original price it had when I was 9 years old. Or I could buy a disc copy of it on ebay for 8 dollars.

Pisses me off so much how these libs imply that people who are against genocide can't be marginalized. "Your queer, disabled, and marginalized loved ones" give me a fucking break. I AM queer you asshole.

It sounds extremely cool. Reminds me of how Liu Cixin describes the spaceships in the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy.

People don't return them because proper scooter stands don't exist lmao. Bike share systems actually have physical infrastructure showing where you're supposed to return the bike. I worked for one of these scooter companies, "proper parking" was just somewhere on the sidewalk that isn't obstructing traffic. These are solvable problems, not something inherent to electric scooters.

It's even worse than that. They don't think genocide is going to happen, they think it's happening. I've heard liberals saying that pro Palestine activists are hypocrites for not protesting against Russia because the war in Ukraine is apparently "quantifiably worse in terms of death displacement and suffering". Nevermind the United Nations themselves reporting that child deaths in Gaza in the past 8 months exceed deaths in all other global conflict combined in the past 4 years. They have an entirely made up set of facts in their heads.
