Nice, another claude model release. Seems like they cut the API price 2/3 compared to opus 4.1 too. You can find benchmarks in the article.

Yeah, I heard some talk about Newsmart, doesn't seem like it really popped off tho sadly

Big changes to our webview API, improved macOS and Android builds, and now we’ve shipped AbortController, AbortSignal, and XPath.

I am personally donating: First to Interstellar, the mbin/Lemmy/piefed client I'm using right now to create this post and second to KDE, even tho I'm a GNOME user, I like that they host their own fediverse instance ( https://lemmy.kde.social/ ), so I support them.

And what projects are y'all do donating to, if any at all?

Let’s walk through what Podman is and how to use it as a Docker alternative on Linux. Expect a straightforward guide on installing Podman, running containers with it, and understanding the basics.

GNOME has a built in OneDrive integration, and it works well from my experience, one of the reasons I decided to stay on this DE

It acts a an additional directory tho, I'm unsure about your use-case

Honestly I would, but I am an Mbin user, not Lemmy and it doesn't support remote moderation :/ Thank you for removing it tho!

I deleted first one I posted because of the title, strange, I guess the deletion haven't federated correctly? it's gone on my instance

A brief update on the goals and plans behind the new Servo releases on GitHub.

I'm a fedora user, so I would recommend Bazzite/Nobara, but all of these are good (Except Windows 7, it's not officially supported anymore and I'm pretty sure it doesn't even get security updates). I think you can try them before installing thanks to live USB, so you can just see which one you like more.

[–] Fitik@fedia.io 3 points 2 months ago

My guess is that because hardware support, you can install PC Linux on pretty much any system, but I am unaware of mobile Linux os that officially supports my phone.

[–] Fitik@fedia.io 3 points 2 months ago

Yep, I mainly use GLM-4.6 now and it's actually pretty good, I use it through API, not locally tho

[–] Fitik@fedia.io 11 points 2 months ago

You can follow them from MBin, at it supports following users. I am pretty sure you can't from the other two, as they only support groups

[–] Fitik@fedia.io 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I agree, I use it too, but I believe it's android-only, and the OP is searching for a cross-platform one

[–] Fitik@fedia.io 3 points 2 months ago

If you're the post author you can mention the community in the post, and it'll crosspost it to it (Like with a.gup.pe when it existed)

I don't think there's a better way if you're not the author

Doesn't seem to be the case, it appears as the federating instance — https://fedia.io/federation#banned-instances

Have you reached out to any of the community members, community moderators, or if inactive, instance admins?

No, I haven't, but you're open to do so if you have the motivation. I already organized consolidation, so I'm aware of how it works.

An announcement for the release of the new Claude model

Linux gets a lot of love there on Fedi, so I think it would be cool if BSD would get some of it too.

For those unaware it's a Unix-like operation system, one of they key differences from Linux is a more permissive license, so PlayStation 4 or MacOS are originally based on it.

There's a list of existing communities:

Apparently, there's also a Lemmy instance dedicated to BSD — https://blendit.bsd.cafe/

Note: No .ml communities, as my instance is defederated from them.

The survey also underscored the importance of growing the next generation of contributors. While experienced developers continue to share deep expertise that keeps FreeBSD strong, it’s equally important to welcome fresh perspectives.

This feed is a collection of BSD (Kind of like an operation system) related communities and users. No communities from .ml as my instance is defederated from them. It's more of a test feed so it's pretty small.
