Is this that BS where there was that Russian puppet orthodox Church that got shut down for a very good reason?

To be honest, China is more strict but I think there's some lobbying going on there as well, their "persecution" (I would describe it more as suppression) of Christianity is vastly overstated in the media

If god is omnipotent he could just snip his fingers and will satan out of existence.

He will.

Something like the great flood is also a horrible evil when, god being omnipotent, he could just snip his fingers and make people not sinners

The flood was God punishing and destroying evil. People had free will

If he's not actually omnipotent, sure, then a lot of things change, though overall I wouldn't describe old testament god in particular as kind anyway. Also people seem to really insist on the omnipotence.

The Old Testament God is the same as the one of the New Testament.

That always has been Satan

No, nobody was going to eat from the tree until Satan came along.

If you are in the UK, report them. They're an invasive pest

Ah yes, the bit where he caused suffering for the sake of his ego was definitely a valid point

The guy responsible for every evil act on earth? Definitely not.

I actually preferred assistant for this task. It was much easier than opening clock, navigating, etc.

Once I asked my phone to navigate to a place via public transport. A normal question Google Assistant can handle. Instead that stupid Gemini LLM started trying to give me a list of directions instead of just opening Google Maps.

by/in the name of God,

Somebody's moving the goalposts

I'm just thinking of cases where a country takes over and exiles the old army, and it's seen the rise of various terrorist groups as you've essentially left a bunch of military trained, often zealouse, young men without a career. Could a similar thing happen with Cyber?

What's more concerning is this:

In another proposed amendment, Peers have suggested that: "Any relevant device supplied for use in the UK must have installed tamper-proof system software which is highly effective at preventing the recording, transmitting… and viewing of CSAM using that device."

On behalf of everyone on Feddit.UK, we wish His Majesty a very happy birthday!

Celebrations are in order lads 🎂

It's actually quite simple. I always thought it was difficult and you'd have to learn from a code sheet, but I found an app which teaches you and you actually just recognise the sounds like you'd recognise any other sound. You generally don't even need to decode it- you just get used to what a letter sounds like. I've been learning since Saturday and can already key my name out.

IIRC it was (at least speculated) that they made a discord server in order to avoid x.com

I have a brass metal stamp for leaving an inked impression on a page. Think of used for the purposes of a rubber stamp. Currently I have pigment ink and it's very patchy and leaves out fine details. Is there any other ink I should use?

Just seems like an odd choice to defederate it.
