They've been around for a really long time, so it's probably legitimate lol

Interesting that they are running ads on reddit though

How much did they actually eat, and how much did they throw on the ground while trying to find the good stuff?

I think he doesn't need math tutoring. He needs someone to sit with him while he does his homework, and he needs encouragement. Our education system just marches people through to graduation without giving them the chance to breathe.

But, I agree, our teachers have been struggling for decades.

Reagan was an asshole. Tldr: the first one happened because he vetoed the spending bill, the second and third happened because he was trying to pressure congress over progressive policies he didn't agree with and relented on the days that the shutdowns happened

I can't tell if they are joking together or if Mark is making fun of Jeff. That movie reference is something

I tutor high school students in math and science. They've all taken a budgeting class. One of my students is taking calculus and I genuinely feel he has a better understanding of it than I do!

I am glad he has the option to take calculus, he's one that gets bored at the place other students need. But I really don't think many students need it or can fit it in their graduation tracks.

We also need to consider how difficult algebra was for some, to the point that a lot of adults think they hate math. I like the comment in the op that Applied Calculus skills (real-world story problems) are useful, and I think that would have more impact than two-three semesters of calculus.

There are still a ton of folks who are cash only in the US. Some of it is because cards and digital transactions make it easy to track people (in the US at least). Others can't open bank accounts for one reason or another, usually because they don't have an address or appropriate ID. And quite a few only accept cash so they don't have to report their income, because they are on disability or they owe money to the government.

I'm actually dealing with my last example right now. I want to hire someone, they only want cash but I live 5 hours away from them so it's causing some difficulty. They don't even want a check because they are so cautious about their income being tracked that way.

It can! This is one of the possible causes of endometriosis.

Oh man. My mother was a huge fan of landscaping with invasive species. This is also a place that has had a lot of local plants absolutely smothered by kudzu vine. Bamboo was going in right as I was moving to another state. Maybe it was a good idea to cut contract with her, I can't imagine it's been cheap or easy to maintain

Yes. I'm hopefully moving to Europe by the end of next year, so the problem may solve itself for me

It's incredibly frustrating how many people can't go a few minutes without obnoxiously loud sound. It's even worse if you're in an apartment or other close quarters because people assume playing something loud enough to hear on the opposite side of the building is their God-given right.

I've been daydreaming about making a low-stimulus housing community lately, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with my sensory processing disorder not being compatible with existence in a modern world

The plants are nigh impossible to control or remove. They're like mint; only plant it in the ground if you hate yourself and your neighbors :)
