Has this guy's website been down for a really long time? I've checked it periodically for a couple of years now. Before it was just no updates, now it just gives an error.

I'll throw in a few that I enjoyed (all pc with a controller):

Hollow knight (probably the common favorite). Fun gameplay, interesting story, felt like a great entry into the genre as someone who didn't like them previously.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Really interesting farming mechanics to unlock new skills and fun combat. I think I liked this one mostly for the gameplay and don't remember the story much.

Grime. This one felt really, really clunky at first. However, like most games in the genre, it really picked up at one point and I enjoyed the whole experience. I think there were some sections that really dragged on but overall a fun game with interesting movement, mechanics, and enemies.

Taking pleasure in the (self inflicted) suffering of others, but voting for and supporting policy change to fix that suffering seems very different from actively participating in the increase of suffering of others.

Not everyone has to be as holy as thou to not be evil.

Don't forget the most important 2:

  • Be attractive

  • Don't be unattractive

There's a small resurrection effort for a lot of shut down games and I really do wish them success. I saw one for Firefall, which was something I often wish would've succeeded.

Sorry, less word more good

Yes, I'm sure no one has ever tampered with paper ballots. Right.

This looks like to make cleaning large pans or baking sheets unnecessarily difficult.

I had the opposite for this one, heard it was good and really didn't like it when I gave it a try.

I still don't understand, truthfully.

Saying the joke is overused has nothing to do with what you said.

I think most people's conversation with their wife would indicate their relationship anyway. Probably a pointless differentiation.

While I agree, just play whatever you want and stop gatekeeping, I do think there's a degree of bad design that often happens around difficulty sliders. Many games will have different difficulties that boil down to something like, "Easy: enemies have half health and do half damage", "Medium: 1x health and 1x damage", and "hard: 2x damage and 16x health"

Instead of a pretty well tailored, and maybe difficult challenge that can be overcome with skill or by using the game's mechanics, you just have a game that either doesn't challenge you or does, but every fight is going to be bullet/damage sponge hell.
