I'm also using Connect. I've got it looking pretty similar to RiF and it has some nice features. Plus, the developer is very active and is constantly pushing out updates and adding new features.
I just looked in settings and I guess you cannot disable it anymore. I remember seeing it in the settings at some point, but it must have been removed.

It seems to be doing this now. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was. I agree, though. It's much better than aligning it at the top of the screen.
Looks good! I have a sauce I've been fermentating for a little over ten months. I'll probably bottle it once it hits a year. I can't wait to try it! Also, I would definitely get a lid that has an airlock so it can vent. Otherwise, you risk the jar exploding if too much pressure builds up and you forget to burp it.
It means that is your default feed that loads when you open the app. You can change your default by tapping the vertical ellipses next to each feed.
