Neat, I was actually looking to get one to use as a server for my ttrpg stuff.
It's fun being reminded how unmodded STALKER actually looked like. Speaking of, latest GAMMA version is pretty cool, I managed to assemble a decent mid game kit in it and I am just about ready to get bullied by buffed Monolith at the Brain Scorcher.
I swear by uBlock, gonna need to check that list because as I run it now, there is the occasional soft wall that requires manual F12 intervention. Thanks, comrade.

I am waging protracted people's war against installing apps and creating accounts in order to do things that shouldn't require a fucking app or account. I have used my browser's console to scroll wepbages with JavaScript when shitty sites would disable scrolling to force me to sign up. Death to enshittification.

The anti-Roma racism is so deeply ingrained in our society it's basically background radiation. Children are misbehaving? Scare them into obedience by threatening to "send them away to the [slur]s". Invite your normal looking centre left friends to the countryside for a barbecue? Casually get asked if the neighbors are colored. At family dinner with generic centrist parents? Random racist remark out of nowhere. Lunch break with white collar coworkers? Unprompted rant about how one of them saw a man who claimed to be [slur] say on the internet that he is okay with [slur] and this is why it's settled that it's okay to use [slur] instead of Roma and anything else is silly wokeness.
It is really cool. The fact that most structures are destructible opens up so many fun possibilities. You can be on the 1st floor of a building and have a shootout through holes in the floor with enemies that are below. The storyline is very silly and nazi power armor makes an appearance towards the end, but iirc there is a mod to remove those for those who find them too silly. I definitely recommend it to anyone who even remotely likes turn based tactics.
