Oh don't get me started. In BC they "expanded" the number of campgrounds by converting existing non-provincial-park campgrounds (forestry service campgrounds) to be under the provincial park system. They jacked up the prices (some were free before) and added no services. Total bullshit.

Even the lesser known ones were shit shows in BC in 2021. They also took over a whole bunch to make them provincial parks that were previously forestry and often free or very cheap. Frickin' annoying.

I haven't been looking forward to this part. Camping sucked during covid because the campgrounds were too busy with us all staying in Canada and going camping. Hopefully people take the opportunity to go to Europe or Asia this year!

That's bullshit behaviour by staff. When was that? I haven't really liked going in there for the last few years.

They never saw the vote. They can't count it, it has to go to court. They're following the law.

They're doing everything by the book. They never saw that ballot and can't just count a vote because someone said their ballot was returned. It will have to go to court at this point but EC has done nothing wrong in terms of the recount. You make it sound like a conspiracy that they counted more votes for the Liberals.

Yeah this looks to me like everyone got scammed, including the new owners.

detective Isaac Hanson, who found Backeberg, said he was able to locate her through her sister’s Ancestry.com account.

“That was pretty key in locating death records, census reports, all kinds of data,” Hanson told the news station, adding: “Ultimately, we came up with an address

I hate that about those genealogy sites: Someone else can give up your privacy for you. I found myself on one with a whole bunch of private info because some relative thought it was cool to put the whole family out there. They included kids, everyone's birthdays, maiden names, addresses, the whole shebang. All completely public for anyone to search for, without asking anyone if it was okay with them.

Several videos floating around, some articles are reporting 1 dead (possibly the suspect).

More than $485 million in illicit drugs and drug ingredients seized in rural B.C. community

Some excerpts:

According to police, the amount of fentanyl and other materials seized would have amounted to more than 95,500,000 potentially lethal doses and worth an estimated $485 million in profit.

The "superlab" was located in the community of Falkland, B.C., an unincorporated community about 50 kilometetres east of Kamloops.

The Mounties say the bust is a "decisive blow" to those who organized it and that in addition to the facility in Falkland, several locations in Surrey were also searched.

Aside from the drugs, which included 54 kilograms of fentanyl, 390 kilograms of methamphetamine and 35 kilograms of cocaine, police also seized 89 firearms, several small explosives, body armour and $500,000 in cash.
