Same. That movie was fun, and as you mentioned going in blind is a great way to enjoy it.

2023 was a good year for horror. I think my favorite was the film out of Argentina called When Evil Lurks.

Other great movies that year: Evil Dead Rise, Beau is Afraid, Talk to Me, No One Will Save You, Late Night with the Devil, The Pope's Exorcist

Watched a British 3 episode possession miniseries (basically movie length) called The Enfield Haunting. I liked it. Easy watch with likable characters, some laughs, decent acting, and a good story. I'd recommend it for Sunday movie vibes.

Peter Jackson's "Dead Alive" (originally titled "Braindead")

Then you probably know how prohibitively expensive it can be, especially if you want access to developed nations like in Europe. So this isn't even an option for the vast majority of American citizens. I know you're not responding in good faith so I'll just drop it.

This is also false. You can't just renounce your citizenship if you want to. To renounce US citizenship you must submit an application and appear in person for affirmation. They will not approve your application if you don't have a second passport or citizenship somewhere else. They aren't going to just make stateless people.

This is completely false. US citizens must file taxes and are liable for income taxes no matter where they live.

Edit: I also know this because I recently filed my US taxes from my full-time residence in Germany.

Kong Strong. And it's like half a euro at my Lidl.

The funny thing about german is you can make new compound words to describe something. It could be a bit nonsensical without context but it should translate roughly to "homeland-retribution-pride".

Heimvergeltungsstolz?

Definitely learn the articles along with the word. The lack of this in certain learning apps like Duolingo is a major shortcoming.

Also related, I would recommend memorizing verbs with their prepositions. Bitten um, Denken an, Sich freuen auf/über

This show came on alongside another one called The Maxx which is also worth checking out.
