Sauna is a place where I go to relex (every day, a Finn...) so I'd never use any electronics in a sauna. It would also feel very stupid to have a watch when you are butt naked.
Anyway, something that is waterproof may not be steam proof, I personally would not take the risk. But obviously you do you.
