Social media is never private. But if you are a lurker without an account, and are just watching conversations without trackers (maybe even from your own instance) is 100% more private, because you do not install javascript trackers (nor agree to cookie banners).

This game made me laugh out loud (lol) multiple times. Thank you for posting this.
Donations in lemmys case https://join-lemmy.org/donate that link is visible on the main page, will people find it?
You mean porting ones account from one instance to another? With all the data? to be honest, since lemmy is way more open a scraper could be developed for this purpose by anyone (using the lemmy api). Because of this lemmy accounts are already more portable than a reddit account.

Perhaps Stupid Question: Is it possible to export a subreddits data (through scraping for example) and add it to lemmy? This would greatly help community migration efforts.
I guess this violates reddit terms of use though.
looking elsewhere or at least to an instance thatβs defederated from the mainstream
Its awesome that such a possibility even exists.
Thank you for hosting this. You are cool.
yes. I think this is possible. But lets see what the FBI finds out this week, will be interesting. I propose if they do not get him within 2 weeks he has gone dark / deep undercover.

Only if the "Person of Interest" had not already stored/hidden the gun at the roof location a day before, and planned longer term...
