I find it easier and more consistent than ALVR.

Less options but it seems to be set up very optimally

For those using Linux and want to play VR with a quest, it seems WiVRN is working well. I've just had a run in H3VR and it's fairly "flawless" on my Quest 1.

Only thing it getting the app on the Quest, via adb, debug or whatever

I'm planning to replace my RTX3080 here with something like that. Linux user also, and would like to not bother with Nvidia drivers too.

Update: was hoping for a higher "tier" but I guess it will have to do. Will wait a little until Linux drivers are OK. Or ifthere's a good deal ok the 7900XT/X

Use Pop!_OS myself. Its "grand" / "fine".

I'd recommend it to a new user. If however you are an existing user who's happy I'd say not to bother.

Pop!_OS and Fedora are my usual choices for a desktop OS, unless I have reasons not to.

It's not the gotcha that they think it is. Increasing share of Linux, steam deck or not is progress. Any development or considerations made for the SteamDeck and its Arch based OS benefit the non SteamDeck Linux gaming scene too.

Mostly a stab at Reddit PCMR, Lemmy PCMR has a different vibe.

Quick check up Perfect Dark's port, and it works great!

Or ask them! :D

Any one use an AsRock N100M? Whats idle power consumption on it like?

I have the n100dc-itx, and its about 6-8w on my home server, but was thinking of changing it to an N100M, as the n100dc-itx might be needed elsewhere.

Anyone got one? Else should I spend much more on the Odroid H4 plus?

Support maybe? As in, we've (Acemagic) tested a bunch of 2TB drives that all work. We have not tested larger.

If you plug in a 4TB drive it should work, but we won't help you if it does not.

Unfortunately you need to either take the risk or find someone else who has.

Only other thing I can think of is not having GPT support and only MBR but that's frankly absurd these days

That's sorta what I'm getting at. For PC gaming, I'd recommend Fedora and Nobara over Ubuntu,

Pop or Fedora unless there's a reason not to.

Keep noticing that when taking about Linux distro recommendations (on Reddit) users recommend Mint and Ubuntu for gaming.

Now don't get me wrong, they're great distros and with a bit of work are great for games, but I feel like theres better recommendations for new users looking into getting into gaming on linux.

Bad microsoft! Bad!

My 3080 is alright. I do want to switch because of lots of little niggles, such as having to patch the driver for NVFBC support in Sunshine.

However, I'm glad to say I'm in no rush.

Hello everyone. I've recently started using ALVR on Pop!_OS with my Quest 1, and my RTX3080. It works pretty great, but overall looks blurry and kinda compressy. Am I don't anything wrong settings wise?

I've tried blitting about with certain settings, and some helped! (Foveation for one) but others, not so. I've screenshotted my settings here : https://imgur.com/a/Ke4N5dW

Just wanted to share, I'm rather chuffed with myself, as I can now remove my Windows VM.
