Agreed, losing skateboarding is crucial
It's so weird watching the masses ignore industry experts and jump on weird media hype trains.

They must be carefully programmed to show society as it could be, instead of how it is.
Must they? Which particular flavour of utopia should they choose?

I suspect that's because they do not fully understand all their future struggles and fates of their children in the world, fucked up by climate crisis and resource scarcity.

This article is pretty terrible and I'm not a fan of Apple but honestly he's taken a pretty measured approach and the fact that their product is garbage isn't his fault so much as the hype train being off course.
If anything people should be thankful he didn't waste more money, but right now the measurement isn't how successful your business is or how good your product is but how much money you flushed down the toilet chasing the dream of "AI". Because this is a bubble not a revolution.

He as a CEO is ultimately responsible for all products of the company. A hype train demands willing participants to jump in.
Besides theoretical guarantee you would need a will to wreak havoc to both of worlds. Will someone in Canada launch nukes with fist step of the first soldier on Canada's land? If no, when?
