Good choice, re-using is the best.

When you hear politicians talk about a future made in Australia, or trade tariffs, or sovereign capability, you might picture steel or aluminium, or beef or beer, or even (since the pandemic) pharmaceuticals. But do you think about the clothes on your back?

Australians are now the biggest consumers per capita of clothes in the world. But just three per cent of clothing is made here in Australia. So is it time for a fashion rethink?

Oh, never saw it in any papers growing up here.

Did see lots of that bored teen dude comic though.

It’s a shame we didn't get this series in Australia, I could see it being really helpful for families as this is a good parenting over the yelling strip.

We’re already moving onto skinnier but flared styles. Skinny skinny is next.

I work with little babies and this makes me so mad knowing how traumatic this would be.

I don't think they realise I can't see any messages from them as we de-federated days ago. As for the record, I am not @Deceptichum but I rarely use Lemmy and trust their input here and what they've shown me is validation enough.

The fact that Feddit.org is more upset about the comparison to Nazi's than they are for allowing genocide deniers to exist on their instance is reason enough for our position to continue. If Feddit.org can show serious systematic changes in how it deals with its hate speech problem, we may consider changing our stance in the future.

I don't think it's physically possible for Americans or any other human to radiate food out of themselves.

Psst, who wants to let me in.

Bega has bought back Australian ownership of classic foods such as Vegemite or Big M.

This popped up not long after my last post about early childhood abuses yesterday.

Education and other social services should never be run for profit.

In a speech in NSW Parliament’s upper house yesterday, Ms Munro bluntly stated that regulations on ratios should change to cut costs in the sector.

“There are ways we can make childcare cheaper. We can change the regulations around educators who are childcare providers,” she said.

“We don’t need five or six highly educated people to look after 50 kids. Maybe we need one.”

This is a stark contrast to the current National Quality Framework, which mandates a maximum ratio of one educator for 10 children over three years old.

Hello everyone,

Wanting to inform you all that this instance will be undergoing some maintenance and hosting changes tomorrow. It shouldn't take too long.

Ran into some storage issues, so had to delete the images. You'll need to re-upload any pfp's and what not. Post images should slowly filter back in I hope?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll work on a better long term solution over the weekend to ensure this is avoided going forward.

We’d been fighting for 25%, so only 10% left to go. Glad to see UWU putting some pressure on.

This is a handy little resource for planning experiences or provocations in regards to literacy skills.
