The slow rollouts are so annoying too, I often saw apps say I need to update without there even being an update for me.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that sideloaded apps do get updated by the play store. (As long as their internal app manifest matches, I presume?)
Regardless of the fact that it is meta doing it, I don’t know if a mastodon or twitter like service is gonna work well with Lemmy when it has that much users. So whatever way it goes, I don’t really mind

Only when sorting by hot or active posts are missing
If you open the communities on one of the affected instances (probably has to do with the BE version) they will, but if you go to the other instances it shouldn't. Lemmy UI also opens the link in your current instance when you press the "c/community" part of the url.
