I'm using KDE and when I download a flatpak it automatically creates a .desktop file. I think gnome does this too if I'm not mistaken. I do have to restart or relogin for it to put the file there but that's not that bad IMO.

Not sure if this will fix your problem but try Wayland and see if you have the issue. I don't know why a lot of my problems with games were fixed and it might help you.

It's insane how I just had this problem today. Had to tear out my network card in my Asus VivoBook 16. The drivers aren't out for the MediaTek network card so I had to change it to an Intel one that I previously used.

Well this isn't a DE thing but I would like good ray tracing and the new frame gen support for my AMD GPU.

Librewolf is able to do that by turning sync on in the librewolf settings.

Vultr is good, IMO.

OK, I'll try that. thanks

I liked the look of this project but I can not make it run on Wayland. I use Nvidia-Hyprland Arch Linux and it does not seem to want to start for me and its seems a couple of others as well. I hope this gets patched and when it does I'll definitely play it.

I am reading the wiki, but it is mostly discussing PulseAudio and not providing much information about PipeWire. I am unsure whether they share similar file locations or configuration processes, and I do not want to arbitrarily paste PulseAudio commands without knowing their potential effects.

I am using a somewhat minimal installation of Arch-Linux on Nvidia-Hyprland. I am using the base install of Discord and I have PipeWire installed with Easy Effects running, along with some EQ settings for my BeyerDynamics DT 770 80ohm headphones. Every time I join a call in Discord, all the sounds are crackling until I leave. I have restarted PipeWire multiple times and I have disabled my Easy Effects settings and fully closed the application, but the issue persists. I appreciate any help I can get. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to Linux.

As the title suggests, Lutris is requiring me to sign in to GOG so that it can verify my ownership of the game. If my memory serves me well, I used to be able to simply click on the GOG version and then link it to the installation executable file that I downloaded from gog-games.com.
