I think it’s low level mental illness or some yet to be diagnosed mental condition. I don’t think it manifests itself strictly in Sov Cit folks. Think of those people who go full Don Quixote over some perceived wrong wrought onto them. In looking up a link, I see they indeed were drawing from Old Testament scripture to build their end times claims. I was told all this by a childhood friend whose church was teaching it. He was not shy about what happens to the Jews the minute Christ returns (they die first). Israel being established is part of the claims, but the next step is rebuilding the Temple. The Temple site is located on the spot where The Dome of the Rock sits. So it’ll be a problem to rebuild…
