I mean I have the solarpunk furs community over here on pawb and we have at least 2 robot based species, which are alive as in 'they can do free thinking' of course I'd love to code with a synth together, but can a thinking species be compared to an LLM? I think synths and protogens would be offended by that. So it still rolls around to pair programming with a roboter.

Yeah sorry no. Solarpunk is about community so if anything then pair programming is Solarpunk, but I don't think that talking in isolation to an auto completion system is Solarpunk.

Maybe in like 300 years with some kind of robots, but that's not really the scope of solarpunk, tbh.

Btw vibecoding is an horrifying name for the crisis you'll get, when you try to fix code that your LLM spat out in production, when the customer demands it working.

That is very weird, because the image preview is cached on pawb itself. but do not worry, I also have it on my mastodon introduction:

There is a list of some companies on the homepage: https://www.econgood.org/who-is-ecg/ecg-companies/

It is a bit hard to give you a good answer myself as companies that I know are probably none that you know, but there is also an interactive map on that page.

I found this the other day, while I was paddling with a green kayak. I would not say it is solarpunk, but I think it could lead us to the right direction

What is the Economy for the Common Good?

ECG is an economic model, which makes the Common Good, a good life for everyone on a healthy planet, its primary goal and purpose.

At the heart of this concept lies the idea that values-driven businesses are mindful of and committed to:

  • Human Dignity
  • Solidarity and Social Justice
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Transparency and Co-Determination

Such businesses gain a competitive advantage in this new economy.

The good thing about this "new economy" is that it is compatible with capitalism in such that you can start with your current company, but make an extra Matrix, which can then be used by other companies.

It is already in use and not an inaccessible theoretical idea, which might never work.

I'm glad I'm not the only one ~

Ohhh I didn't know they are on mastodon I hope it was OK of me to repost it, but tumblr really started to throw me a login page recently, which hides half of the comic.

It is going on for a while now and has a good story and nice drawing style.

DIGIMON LIBERATOR’S SETTING

The Digimon Card Game has evolved. After a year-long closed beta test, “Digimon Liberator,” a futuristic and fully immersive game that allows players to enjoy card battles in the metaverse space of Lacuna, has finally been officially launched.

With the debut of this revolutionary game and the announcement of the Digimon Card Game World Championship planned to take place inside it, the number of active users continues to grow.

And yet, the game hides a secret unknown even to those running it. A secret that will shake the very foundation of the world. A secret still unknown to all.

Sharing this here, because tumblr and reddit have login-walls and I don't want this gem to get lost.

(Personal disclaimer this is NOT part of the project where I commission artists to draw furry Solarpunk)

During Digimon Adventure: (2020) you where able to increase the care number through watching the show.

the official blog post in Japanese: https://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/digimon/news/20200402.php

Art made by Meg James for my Solarpunk prompt.

My Digimon and its Tamer, Tim, are running and cycling through an Agrivoltaic field.

Agrivoltaic generate electricity and the crops below can grow. The shade thrown by the Solar panels are actually helping growth as the plants don't need as much water. It can also be combined with sheep and cow farms which are just grazing between the panels.

I commissioned Withelias do draw a picture with my Orca-Synth Orvar in it.

Orvar lives in a general future sci-fi setting and is part of a team who examines exo-planets if they can be terraformed while actually going there and testing for life on the target planet. Since he is a synth he can be completely disinfected to not introduce any microbes from earth on the target planet.

Here he is living a normal life and greeting a cheetah friend (character by withelias).

I recently saw more and more Generative AI - Images with Solarpunk, which is for multiple reasons a bad signal for Solarpunk, but the Main Argument was, that "There is not enough Art by real Artists"

So, we are the furry community. We are known for our Artists and our Artist friendly behaviour so I want to change that.

I gonna start to personally commission Images by Furry Artists which have Solarpunk or Hopepunk topics. Starting with the Logo for this Community, which is a Modified version from @cyl@blorbo.social of the original Logo

I encourage everyone with some money to do the same and every artist with some free time to participate please!
