Plugging something I did : I implemented this on a 16*16 step sequencer. Click the "Conway's game of life" button to turn on the game of life rules, and whatever you drew on the sequencer will apply the simulation rules and change the music being played.

I do post a bit from this account, but I have another account I make more contributions from. Please let me know if this is bothersome.

I want to do a bit more before I do a proper launch and try to bring people's attention to it, but I felt like it would fit this submission.

My stack that matters :

Debian
KDE
Dolphin

I faffed around with running dolphin in admin mode to paste the fonts into the relevant folder before. I wanted to preview the font , and double clicked it. It just asked me if I wanted to install it to system or just this user.

Goddamnit.

This really sucks. I've had a very slow development on personal projects I wanted to do due to shitloads of management of personal issues and I am getting to the point where I can actually do some development during very specific hours.

My first project is nearing completion, and I wanted to move onto android for the next one as I want to use an arbitary tesselation as a music keyboard, so I basically need a tablet. I don't want to use mac/ipad because they demand a pile of BS, and it looks like android/google are now doing the same fucking nonsense.

I feel trapped on android and phones in general because I need them for 2 factor authentication for work/banks/govt id , so this is really awful.

if you hate JS and think it's dumb, but still have to use it, look into Eloquent Javascript (free) https://eloquentjavascript.net/ and the mozilla docs https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript.

Eloquent JS is written by someone who also hates JS, but understands it very well.

I used them while I worked on the Microtonal Music Grid (still in progress)

I really like the weird pitch shifty (whammy bar?) solo at this timestamp : https://youtu.be/mzvXqQcF2v8?t=210
