Everything after the ? can be safely removed

This is usually true but but not always. There's often times when a URL query like that is used to choose the page to load. I believe wordpress does this

How is this not treason? Are you American?

I ask because even the most left leaning of you all keep making light of this shit and it's actually driving me crazy. I have American coworkers making 51st state jokes and it's actually making me hate all of you

I went to Vegas (from Canada) in November for a company convention sort of thing right after Trump got in and felt off about it then but like actual fuck I'd go now. My company is actually struggling to find somewhere to go next year since, while they're a US based remote-first company, a LOT of their employees are outside of the United States.

Edit: It's funny, I've noticed they've really seemed to prioritise hiring Canadian developers in the last few years. I've always wondered if it's because they feel they can pay us less

I'm proud to be from a country that wrote a sternly written statement

Yeah, I'm also going to guess the original writer speaks more than one language, English not being their first, which is most likely more than the second person could say.

As someone learning a second language (French), this sort of thing is what makes me so nervous to actually use what I've learned...

I guess it's mostly for their cell services to avoid SIM jacking and stuff. But I agree

I'm the opposite of both of you. The build quality is good and the OS is good. I love having a familiat UNIX system while also having a polished desktop environment that supports 4k scaling very well (though the polish has been lacking a lot lately)

The issue for me is the insane price of their computers and the fact that you can't (officially) install MacOS on your own hardware. I have a Linux desktop and a MBP but I'd run MacOS on both if it was officially supported

Even ISPs do this where I am. You don't have to utter anything specifically but if they detect your voice being drastically different from what they have on file, they'll lock you out before you even talk to a real person. Not sure how I feel about it tbh
