Not necessarily for me, but I do like the colors. And for the price point for a ceramic, pretty cool!

Not for me, but I like the colors. And the price point for ceramic is not bad either. What do y’all think?

I had a boss that would constantly chase the new buzz-worthy tech rather than focusing on the tools and languages we already used and supported (which also had the capability of accomplishing the same objectives). My team spent a lot of resources on half ass implemented tools that created more gaps than what it was supposed to fill. In the end, the team (not him) were expected to fix the issues he created because he was always busy chasing the ‘next big thing’, brushing the issues he created for the team under the rug. Super frustrating and glad I’m not working in that environment anymore.

Reminds me of the one my prof used to wear, but don’t know much more than that. Have you tried contacting Hamilton and see if they can use the serial number to look that up for you?

Nice watch!

"However, Target management does have fiduciary duties to its shareholders to prudently manage the company and act loyally in the company's best interests."

Not sure how reaching out to more groups to sell more products and generate more profit amongst those groups previously left out of the equation is not in the company’s best interest.

Great watch and great story. Thanks for sharing!

Didn’t know this existed, but now I might have to get one. TY!

I just got mine in. I figured I would start it a few months ago just in case something like this happened. Didn’t realize how bad it would get though.

Newest addition to my collection. Wanted a diver and have been looking at the Pelagos for a while. When visiting my AD, found this one LNIB for a good deal, so I couldn’t pass it up!

What are your thoughts? I definitely would have to see the shades of blue in person, but that easter egg on the deep sea is super cool!

Can’t go wrong with a Hamilton! I have the all black day date and it’s one of my favorites.

Went to the Johnson Space Center in Houston today and found a few Speedmaster’s on display. Here is one on one of the space suits. Another one I found was Sally Ride’s, the first US woman in space! I currently don’t have a Speedmaster, but these definitely make it tempting to have another look at them.

+1. It’s frustrating.

I forgot about multireddits! +1 for that idea.

Looks great so far! Great work.

A few things I would like to see:

  • Easily select specific subscribed feeds to view
  • Ability to search and find other feeds across Lemmy (and subscribe to if applicable)

I bought this one about a year and a half ago and have a hard time taking it off. When I first bought it, it was a gold color but the patina just keeps amazing me on how much it adds to the character of it. IWC did a fantastic job on the type of bronze used for this watch (more brown and yellow than copper looking). The green dial goes from a dark green to a bright olive green, depending on the light. This combined with the bronze, gold hands, and brown leather strap really makes it feel like it’s from another era. If anyone is looking to pull the trigger on one, you won’t regret it.

Notes:

  • 6.5” wrist
  • The picture is a few months old, but showcases the watch nicely with some patina.
  • Strap is from The Strap Tailor —> highly recommend!
