I don't, sadly... I actually looked to try to find the book I used for it, but it's been so long that I couldn't properly remember what it was. Maybe go to the bookstore and pick up a few and see if they have the right structure (a series of games and then annotations of what's going on in them, and also if the author's text seems like something you vibe with).

Sorry if this is unhelpful lol... I looked over some books online but I'm not sure what is good and I don't want to give you some recommendation and then it not be worthwhile.

"The lack of compassion and hypocrisy among the blacks came back to bite their own community in the ass"

"The lack of compassion and hypocrisy in the LGBTQ+ community came back to bite their own community in the ass"

See the problem now?

It's not automatically racist just to discuss significant problems in a particular racial community in a direct fashion of course... but just dismissing Latino support for Trump as a problem of "it's because they are bigoted hypocrites QED" is a bunch of racist crap.

How DARE you be so hurtful, didn't you understand that I was RIGHT this pepper spray hurts so bad how could you DO this et cetera

I honestly don't understand why those two sides of the coin always come together, but it seems like about 99% of the time, they do.

is Patel just lashing out with nonsense to stop the grilling

Ding ding ding

I feel like some people on Lemmy like to do counter-trolling by being an extra obvious obnoxious version of their "enemy" group

Watching the testimony is pretty hilarious. Patel looks (a) visibly miserable and (b) like the least believable person alive.

George Bush says we are losing the War on Drugs. You know what that implies? There's a war being fought and people on drugs are winning it!

What does THAT tell you about drugs?

Some smart, creative people on that side. They're winnin' a war and they're fucked up!

"Are we winning?"

It's like, they fight the War on Drugs like the colonials fought the Indians, right? They're walking in a straight line in red coats. Drug users are like Indians, they're up in the trees going, "[puff puff puff puff] Are they fightin' us?"

You never see a positive drug story on the news, do ya? No.

Always negative. News is supposed to be objective, isn't it? Supposed to be? THE news? But every drug story is negative?

Well, hold it! I've had some killer times on drugs!

I'm not promotin' it, but I'm not denying it. Let's hear the whole story!

Same LSD story every time. "Young man on acid thought he could fly, jumped out of a building. What a tragedy."

What a dick!

Don't go blaming acid on this guy. If he thought he could fly, why didn't he take off from the ground first and check it out?

I'd like to see a positive LSD story, would that be newsworthy? Just once? Hear what it's all about?

"Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather!"

"Gol'. Did you see the news?"

  1. I think they're going to continue with their overall strategy of just not really being good at stuff. I don't anticipate that there will be too much connection between the "safety" mode and actual safety
  2. I think overall, OpenAI was founded by incredibly smart people but has now succumbed to the San Francisco "tech idiot" culture and so doing age verification is just what all the cool kids are doing and so they have to do it.
  3. I think the attempt to create a connection between the age verification and the chatbot encouraging users to kill themselves is just a combination of tech idiocy plus a dishonest attempt to justify the age verification and convince people they're doing big things which will definitely be effective as far as the whole suicide thing.
