It does seem like the schools that went ahead and used malicious compliance got under their skin, though. They didn’t realize how much work they’d actually have to do if everyone actually followed their stupid law to the letter and reported every single book that includes any kind of sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.
You’d think people would be more empathetic to teachers and want to better fund public education after having to actually deal with their kids themselves during 2020, but alas.
Compromise and communicating my boundaries! If you want the game to be fun for everyone, yourself included, you need to learn when to go with the flow and when to stand your ground on something, after all.
