Of these, I feel like climate change, a meteor, and nuclear war are really the only viable existential threats, and even climate change will most likely not destroy humanity wholly, although what's left may not be worth living in.

The Lemmy apps are fine, but I've been disappointed in the quality of Lemmy posts and discussion. It's too many memes, not enough good quality thoughts, discussion, content, community. It's unfortunate. Wanted this to be the place I die.

This is 5.2. I believe it's like $10 a month essentially, but sometimes I go over the alotted number of requests, and it's an additional $4 to top up.

Happy to take requests, especially solar punk related.

The silver maple capitate mite ( Vasates quadripedes ) is a herbivorous mite from the family Eriophyidae . Monophage, haloformer, damages North American maples: silver maple ( Acer saccharinum ), sugar maple ( Acer saccharum ), red maple ( Acer rubrum ). Induces the formation of small capitate galls on the leaves. Comes from North America. In the 20th century, with planting material, it was brought to Europe. Recorded in 1957 in Latvia, currently widespread in Europe on silver maple ( Acer saccharinum ).

This is AI-generated, made to start the conversation about resources for building a solarpunk backyard.

All seeds harvested within 100 miles and in same ecoregion. I have a nursery license and have sold some (at cost) at a few yard sales, but am looking to sell more or do a plant giveaway before winter. Have been looking for examples of others doing this and haven't found much. Want to ensure people buying them/taking them actually plant them and have some education. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm a DevOps engineer with git experience and in supporting software teams. How can I help in the development of Jerboa for Lemmy and for the fediverse in general? Should I learn the language and literally code, or can I groom the backlog, or so user testing?
