CIA Director goes to Moscow. Ukrainian Security Services Director office gets btfo. Putin declares ceasefire for duration of visit.

They traded intel for security guarantees without realizing they’re burning sources and methods along the way.

It’s like we (humanity) are clustering similar symptoms until specific patterns emerge that forward our ability towards treatment… like modern viral theory.

This is Information Theory at work. You’re compacting (n+1) signals, where n is any number between 1 and infinity, to 1. With javascript execution, anyone can get timing, webgl, location, device hardware access, etc.. Without it, they just get a single bit that tells them to fuck off.

It’s a technical arms race and good hygiene to review code from untrusted third-parties.

Just wait until you see how corporate entities use cisco customer tracking to keep tabs on high risk individuals based on their device metadata.

Don’t tell a polygrapher this. They’ll waste your time for 12 hours because you’ve essentially proven their job is worthless, and they’ll make that time well spent reminding you of the fact.

No, their overton windows stabilized around the most prevalent and workable systems that were supported by their era.

Edit: you’re implying violence is required to shift the overton window to the left. While I agree that waiting for the death of the last generation guarantees movement forward, the most harmonious option is to finally learn to adapt at the pace of technology without becoming quagmired in king of the hill exercises that’re recidivistic.

The real question, will rawdogging it trigger a DCMA?

Hey all, I just happened upon a trove (~100gb) of MP3s from when I was a sweaty teenager with a DSL line and a 5-disc ripper. Anyone have recommendations on OSS toolsuites to begin indexing/sorting out the files? Everything apparently got flat dumped from a directory structure to a folder. There’s metadata in about 90% of the content - ~10k songs to sort through shouldn’t be too rough with hashing.

I’d be more than willing to seed once everything is in a happy place, there’s probably a few hundred studio cuts of songs that haven’t seen the light of day yet.

I’ve been a firm believer in the jealous devils charcoal for a hot minute now, but have seen a significant decrease in quality over the past year… anyone have recs for charcoal that doesn’t have plastic or construction debris in it?

Hey all! Does anyone have recommendations for introductory courses near NYC or up into the Hudson Valley?
