I am currently using an M1 Mac Mini, because despite being slower, I can queue 12 hrs of video ripping and exporting up, and it will run night and day with a fan I cannot hear. Temps in the 60-70 deg. range.

My MacBook Pro, about 3 times faster, runs the fans and shows CPU temperatures up to 105deg Centigrade.

Pick what you need, and stick with it.
