Thanks for being their for me commrades. I have often troubles and you are often there for me. I just want say thank you for being their. I made so much progress during the last year and next year will be even better

During the last few days I noticed a few people demanding that every Ukrainian refugee in Germany who is of able bodied age should be forced back to Ukraine to either fight on the front or work in ammunition factories or hospitals. As far as I can tell no major publication or politician has echoed this sentiment yet. I hope that will stay this way. But the sheer audacity with which these people demanded strangers to be sent to their death is astounding. "Fighting to the last Ukrainian" really is something they want and it sickens me.

I think I could benefit from some motivation in the morning to help a bit with getting out of bed. The only podcasts I can find are either made by people like Jocko Willink shudders or just promote grind/hussle culture.

Is there anything motivational that isn't made by reactionaries?

Title says it all. Basically I am at a point where I can choose between 2 jobs.

One would leave me incredibly busy, completely stressed for the next 3-4 years and wouldn't leave me with a lot of free time in general (it also has a very high burn out quote) and a lot of young people who enter the job leave shortly after. The pay would be good, the job is incredible secure, it would make me a civil servant and it's a job I would mostly enjoy. I find it incredibly fulfilling and it is a lot of fun. But my job would be pretty much everything I do from then with no real time for other hobbies.

The other job is much more relaxed, it is even more fun and I would work with one of my hobbies. But the pay is dogshit I would make the least of any of my friends, it is less secure and the working hours are funky but regular. It might become very challenging to afford a family on this salary (not impossible though).

I feel like I am fucked either way. Any thoughts?

I am looking for a source on the economic growth of the Soviet Union. I once read that had the Soviet Union survived it would have overtaken the USA sometimes around 2006 (maybe it was 2016 not sure). However I can't remember where I read that.

Has anyone here an idea of what I am talking about?

Since this community is pretty dead I thought I liven it up a little with some very light discussion about factions in our favourite wargame we absolutely hate.

So for me it's the Orks. I love them in 40k and AoS. The chaotic, ramshackle ridiculousness of them is incredible entertaining. That and I am more interested in building models and painting than playing and Orks are perfect for that.

I also like Necrons because they are so awful but in an honest way. Yes they want to get rid of the other races so that the Necrons rule once more over the galaxy. But from their point of view it's understandable. They ARE better than every other living race in technology and science. Years are to them like seconds to us. The difference between Necrons and other living races really is like the difference between us and insects.

Edit: I just want to clarify that I don't think the Necrons are right in wanting everything dead. I just get why terrible space Egyptians would believe that they are right. I like that they are very upfront and honest about being dickheads.

Hey comrades, I hope this doesn't break the rules but I needed someplace to rant to sane people. I know how well threads like this go over on R*ddit. Due to some hefty psychological abuse during my childhood, I suffer from bad social anxiety. Until very recently I couldn't even talk to strangers via phone, Discord, or Email.

It took me so long to realize that I needed help and even longer to gather the strength to seek it that I am 25 now and only started getting better slowly. I just feel like it took me too long and now recovering is meaningless. I never went to any parties or clubs because I couldn't and I also didn't have romantic connections.

The thought of asking someone out terrifies me. I am completely clueless in dating matters and overcoming this seems like an impossible roadblock. It feels like I am already too old to have no clue about relationships and I will be definitely too old once I get over my fear of approaching someone. I don't want to be alone forever. I don't want to become some weird incel creep but I also feel like I already crossed the point of no return. And yet I feel silly for worrying about this. I know a lot of you have far greater problems in life. Me complaining about having social anxiety and being single just shows how good my life is if this is truly my biggest problem but I still can't shake it.

Sorry that this rant is so uncoherent and leading to nothing I just had to get this out in an environment that is actually supporting and understanding.

Edit: thanks everyone for the kind words. I was shedding some tears while going through your replies. I was that deeply touched. I count myself once again lucky to belong to such a kind and caring community (can't believe libs call US red red fascists) and I now feel much better about myself. I feared I was alone in my fight, and even though I haven't met a single one of you in real life, I now know I am not. I will get around to answering everyone of you but it might take me a day or two.
