it dawns on me that there's probably never going to be a good time to grab an exceptionally good deal, unless you're lucky.

By now, all the "exceptionally good" deals (I'm thinking this year's previous m2 macbook pros) are gone. At least, the m2 macbook pros you'd want to spec perfectly...

there doesn't seem to be that kind of choice for getting the exact specs. they're all refurbished bundled.

so my quandry is: one might as well give up on their ideal spec'd m2 macbook pro and just get a brand new m3 macbook pro?

 

So if someone's a casual mac user who uses their mac for browsing, music, office productivity, streaming... at least, 30 chrome browser tabs and streaming music/ mp3 player and another productivity app all simultaneously...

Is upgrading RAM and storage from the base model, overkill for such a "casual mac user"?
