There are definitely kinks to work out. As you say, early days. I think kbin.social is still in prototype, only been up about a month or so. I'm being patient in the hopes that things will get sorted soon.
I had to search manchester@mcr.town to find it from kbin.social, although it's not showing any content.

I'm not certain but I suspect I probably learned it from a Discworld book, also a scarily long time ago!
We've got the local village "carnival" today, complete with overpriced fair in the park afterwards. I usually try to ignore it because I'm a grumpy old sod, but my eldest is walking in it with school so I have to be enthusiastic.
Love a good old bit of petrichor. Seems to trigger floods of nostalgia.

I'm suspicious of every sub that has reopened after they said they wouldn't. Reddit in general isn't a comfortable place any more
After living in several places I seem to have settled Manchester-ish. Far enough away to not be bothered by the city, close enough to commute if I have to.
