Let's totally ignore that Hillary got the popular vote the first time and if the US didn't have the E.C. than history would've been quite different.

All of your questions can literally be answered with history, as this type of stuff has already happened. Long story short, since others have typed it here as well, Reagan as president fired all 11k ATC workers and forced the Air Force to help pick up the slack while they looked for more workers. Some of those ATC workers got rehired, but it essentially prevents ATC from having any control of their careers.

Maybe get off your computer chair once in a while and actually go outside and visit these places you know absolutely nothing about. I just came back from Honduras for a few months. And guess what I'm still alive and well and it was one of the best, humbling trips I've ever taken and I'm hugely grateful for the experience. See that? You actually learn something when you travel, as opposed to being a toxic know-nothing online. If no one else already told you today, go fuck yourself and have a nice day.

They are federal employees. Federal employees can't go on strike. Shit is fucked up. The US hates it's labor force and that's by design.

This take is SO dumb, did you completely ignore that Hilary won the popular vote?

Mitch McConnell referred to himself as the "Grim Reaper" to signify his role in blocking progressive policies, stating that if he remained Senate majority leader, such policies would not pass. Mitch wasn't responsible for cutting things from bills. He would just simply flat out let the bills sit on his desk where they went to die, hence the nickname. But my point is moot lol

lol, why am I finding this so funny at the end? LOL

People willingly went to Qatar for the World Cup. Sports fans are fucking dumb and/or don't give a shit about anything as long as they can see their team play and win. And for those that don't know or forgot, Qatar killed thousands of workers violating human rights and basic safety when building all their stadiums.

Dude, seriously FUCK Newsweek. Reddit posts this garbage news clickbait crap all the time. Posting Newsweek trash is just a complete waste of time. Use better, local, independent news organizations instead of a rag that just uses clickbait and sensationalism. Fuck off Newsweek.

The Old Guard/Corporate Dems don't care, they will sit idly by as the shit hits the fan again and again and again, even some of them voted for Trumps appointments. Dems in Congress are not going to save us, only the people will. But most of us aren't educated enough to know and understand what's going on, hence why we're in this whole pickle...

Would it be possible to add an option to move the upvote/downvote area to the left side? It would be great for those that are left handed vs right handed.

We already have the ability to move the thumbnails to the left or right side, which is great and would love to see an option like this make its way in too. If it’s not possible no worries but I figured it can’t hurt to ask, thank you!

As you can see in the above screenshot, the communities on the left hand side like lemmyworld, technology, and microblogmemes all have different font sizes. This is very jarring and needs correcting, plus it’s much harder to read small fonts when it’s all squeezed in there.

One solution could be to put the communities name on the line above the post title or perhaps put it below the upvote/down vote line so it has more space. Please hope you can fix this, as it makes readability difficult, thank you.

This is a screenshot from Narwhal 2 (one of the last still active Reddit apps), and for context the layout is a lot more consistent. What I mean specifically is the community heading title is always on the far left indent, and it’s always color coded for easier readability. Also for consistency the upvote/downvote numbers are always on the far right indent. My eyes always know where these two things are in that regard. On Avelon the upvote numbers after the community title so the numbers/the button to upvote them aren’t always in the right place. This is a small nitpick to be sure, but as a graphic designer for consistency it would be great to keep things in places they should always be. If you have any further questions, I’m happy to expand and explain my reasonings. Also thank you so so much for making a wonderful app.

This may be an odd request but as it stands now there are at least two ways to upvote/downvote a post, either clicking the arrow buttons on the left side of the post or the big rounded buttons on the right side too.

I think for a very minimal, clean and simple look if you could add an option to remove/hide the big rounded upvote buttons. I normally tap the little small arrow on the left so the big rounded buttons take up space.

Please let me know if this is already being worked on or if it’s something you might consider to add in the future I’d greatly appreciate it.
