It may sound silly but it's put succinctly and there's an element of grim truth to it.

Additionally, do we have to compare everything to Reddit? It's the Internet, people are going to cope how they cope.

Getting bad gateway on the link but thanks for sharing it. I'll check it later.

This is something that could be added to a client some day even if it won't work on some instances. I'd use it on occasion.

This is just what the Internet has become, it's not the specific protocol or hosted site. Years of people crying over how "reddit" behaves as an entity are already starting to complain here but they need to step back and realize it's the nature of the beast.

Acknowledge, adapt and move on.

Defederated instances took it too personally, it was by design. Beehaw may have jumped the gun acting quickly and we can disagree with their reasoning all we want, but that's their prerogative to isolate/protect the community they have. It's a feature, not a bug.

Fine by me, what they did is actually a feature of the Fediverse. People fear what they don't understand and based on comments at the time, there was a lot of misunderstanding.

Yes, but that didn't happen until after Escape From LA ended. Prior to that, it may have looked end of the world inside the prison but society outside was still functioning.
