That's a lot of assumptions about how other people are thinking mate.

rally more socially inclined, so you require constant affirmations and acknowledgment from everyone around you or you stop feeling good about yourselves and whatever, but this kind of self centred attention seeking that has you going out in public and deciding everyone should want to talk to you if you just go up to them and start talking- is incredibly fucking selfish.

Why do you think you’re so special and importan

I think you should just make a habit of talking to people around you. You're kind of putting human interaction on a pedestal and that's just going to make you overthink things.

First of all, you need to understand it's not some pre-planned thing. You should be making a point to go out to do things you like doing - not going out with the explicit agenda of just talking to people. That's why I think the term "cold approach" is loaded, and full of shit--It inaccurately makes it sound like something negative and unnatural--In actuality you've done it many times before without thinking about it.

Seems you've gone deep into this analysis, of which none of it is actually relevant though, because you're not talking about the root cause of your feelings. Which is that you have social anxiety.

Look at it this way, it's the same as approaching someone in public to make a friend. Obviously, that's not inappropriate. It's only inappropriate if you're treating it differently (which you shouldn't be).

I just really wish there was more active communities for things I like.

I made the Path of Exile community which is currently empty.

There's no Burning Man community yet for SOME UNKNOWN REASON

All the EDM communities are dead including the one I made.

Here's another one for you. If our Galaxy is full of Dark Matter that doesn't interact with anything wouldn't a whole bunch of it end up in the middle of our planet and every star? Thus making them way heavier and invalidating the paradox we see?

[–] Simon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Thanks! It's so weird the commonly understood kind of antimatter in sci-fi is totally different from reality.

Not sure exactly but neutrons are* a proton and an electron getting intimate with each other so yes? Not decay, what you're describing would be separating DARK MATTER in this stupid unproven head-theory I wrote out.

In the real world only cosmic rays smashing particles in space like nature's particle accelerator can produce anti-protons

*Obviously the star because hadrons are way more complicated than that

Posting here because I saw it on reddit and had interesting thoughts and questions about it and I can't post there - isn't antimatter like a positron just oppositely charged form of all particles (or opposite in all forces I guess).

They annihilate because they have anti-mass, but since anti-mass is hypothetical at this point, if mass turned out to be an absolute property of the higgs field, antimatter and matter colliding could result in these massive particles that can no longer possibly interact with anything. Isn't that what Dark Matter is? Seems we have a lot of that stuff floating around.

I thought about the paradox of why matter. If any of the cyclical universe theories turned out to be correct then in that situation it would SEEM obvious the next universe would be antimatter right. Just swinging back and forth through the singularity like a pendulum. Infinite conservation of energy forever, and we happen to be in the matter part.

This weirdo theory would imply information being maintained through a singularity though, is that a thing? but if every particle is a singularity anyway can't they just chill together.

I saw another unhinged amateur theory a few weeks ago also on reddit that Dark Matter was the next universe moving backward through time.

I want to hear what the people way smarter than me did to absolutely tear this apart because I'm sure it's been picked apart to death. Did you guys ever touch on antimatter in your physics classes? It's a lot of fun.

Doesn't work. They shadow ban your new account until they figure out where you are.

[–] Simon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

It's an automated system, I doubt anyone actually cares like that.

Which is part of the problem.

[–] Simon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (5 children)

Same, but at least you can have an account? I got the perma for the stupidest reason possible and I can't use the site. Somehow the system always figures out it's me. I would probably have to get a new computer IP and phone.

For context I have (had) an alt account that was banned from r/news years ago. I read the frontpage exclusively. r/news shows up there a lot. I forgot about this alt account and commented there. Then a few months after that ban I did the same thing.

I am clearly a despicable human being and shouldn't be allowed to use the only universal forum humans currently have.

The first is my attempt on the Stomp/Jessee's Rockafeller Skank mix Sub Focus has been playing out. The second is an edit involving like four remixes of Sientelo plus some special sauce.

I Need Help (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) by Simon@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/reddit@lemmy.world

I've been using reddit for over a decade and there's a few subreddits I've been banned from (/r/news, /r/crazyfuckingvideos, etc). Unfortunately, I keep forgetting when I'm browsing. If I accidentally comment in one of those my current account gets banned for ban evasion. Is there a browser extension that can block participation in certain communities but still allow you to see content? I can't keep having my current reddit accounts permenantly banned like this and then lose all my subscriptions and preferences and friends etc. This has happened twice already.

Please help.

Make sure to check out the originals as well.
