Some time recently I sorted by all and came across a post (on lemmy.world I think) shaming US Republicans for voting against sending weapons to Ukraine. I'm not a conservative either, but it really astounds me when liberals like that advocate for war and destruction then get on their ivory tower and think they are fighting for freedom and democracy.
Liberals are probably gonna mistake this for an actual conservative meme but idc 🤷♀️

I remember being very disappointed a while ago when the "billionaire space race" thing happened and the billionaires unfortunately made it back safely. This event kinda scratched that itch for me, it is quite entertaining.
I can't remember for sure, I think some US republicans said that because they think Biden is "soft on China" or something along those lines. But I definitely heard it somewhere, I didn't make it up myself.

Is there a reason you didn't add Blackshirts & Reds to this list? Personally I think that book is absolutely essential for beginners, especially because it specifically attempts to dismantle the bourgeois mentality that capitalist society instills in people. It's also not too long of a read for a book.
