I can't recall specific examples but I've definitely heard of folks that use patreon as a subscription thing and have the kofi for one-time donations. I don't know their financials, obviously, but it seems to me that it works.
I'm not the most knowledgeable on Apple terms, so my first thought seeing AirPower was that time a bunch of folks were fooled into microwaving their iPhones.
Lemmy is a platform without an algorithm, the content curation is in your hands.
My feed is shitposts and cute animals, if you don't like what you see then unsubscribe from those communities.
In my opinion people focus too much on what lemmy could be and are failing to appreciate what it is.
Engaging with the platform as it is will better attract others than going elsewhere and promising things that lemmy might not ever be.
How is your mileage on that? I tried out the stylus last year but found the headphone jack was garbage. Took my earbuds to an electronics shop and found every Moto phone had bad jacks. Every non-Moto jack worked fine. For reference, I would play any sound at low volume and there would be a hissing/static noise in my buds.
My guess is that Google recently devalued the negative reviews from the API fiasco because enough time has passed. The reviews are (probably) still there, but those 1 star ratings are no longer in the "average" shown to users.
I can recommend the Samsung Galaxy A25. Has samsung chips (A15 has mediatek) and an audio jack (A35 does not). From what I've seen the new models (A16 at least) have all ditched the audio jack.
Decent phone with an okay screen, a headphone jack, and expandable storage.
DDG scrapes their results from Bing, so you are effectively already using Bing. I had to stop using DDG because it plugs MSN and other Microsoft websites so hard.
Most people do not like surprises, especially surprises involving their work and/or money. Even if it may be a 'good' surprise, many simply do not like them.
How would a surprise day off work? "Surprise, you commuted into work today for no reason! Go home!"
Most workers desire consistency.
