Right‽ I don't think anyone expected spinners to outlast SATA SSDs!

"the problem isn't capitalism! It's [the natural consequences of capitalism]!"
Like, I'm sorry, but to me, this isn't the stunning argument OP seems to think it is.
Yeah, but MP was very obviously a "designed for Enshittification" company when they were charging like $20 for unlimited movies in a month and paying out full price for movie tickets that in my area were around $16 ... if I used it twice they lost a lot of money. Hell, if I used it 3x in 2 months they still lost money.
For my family, it was very much a "this isn't going to last, enjoy it while you can" program..
It did definitely show that people not going to movies isn't a shift in people's enjoyment at theaters and is instead very clearly a cost issue. Price it appropriately and people will be back in the seats. Price it too high and they'll just wait the 3 months until it comes out on streaming/disc or just completely forget about it altogether
Just my $.02
ETA: You're willing to overlook sticky floors or whatever at a $5 matinee, you're not going to overlook it paying nearly $20 and the nicer chairs are now an expectation and not just a 'value add', so that's not enough!
I didn't even share my account and I cancelled it. Not worth the money for less and less good content and having to put up with their bullshit rules/restrictions.
Same for me, looks like us diverging for the third one saved it :-D
It's supposed to be a place to showcase art, not a free place to advertise for your store.
The dude(ette) didn't even post a link though from what I can see, so, the reaction is insane.
Print on demand is easy, so, I'd think any artist who's showing off their work online should have a printer that they've run off a few test prints with already ready to go, in case people are interested enough to ask about purchases, but, I'm not trying to moderate a magazine/community and prevent it from being a giant advertisement, so, ::shrug::
On mobile, I use Interstellar to connect to a MBin instance.
Agreed, they're not supposed to be laws, they're supposed (as far as I understand it anyways) to essentially be "as the head of the Executive branch, here is how I want my underlings to handle/interpret this particular thing that the Executive branch already has authority over" ... it really doesn't make sense that they'd last any longer than that particular Presidents term(s).
They went the extra mile. A lot of it was actual exploits too and not just random HTML like I've seen in some shows, lol. They purposely would change a few things or not show something though to not be accused of showing people how to actually hack. That plus the way they show social engineering being an integral part of the process made it an incredibly refreshing show to watch.
I also loved how in a scene Elliot is starting to technobabble and a character is like "yeah, we know what a Raspberry Pi is dipshit" but he got just far enough in the explanation that if the audience didn't previously know, they still got the jist.
Love the "as long as they don't make it woke" comment in the link, as if the smartest human on the show (Yeah, I said it, Rodney) wasn't a woman and one of the most iconic characters wasn't a black man. If this cast launched today they'd call it woke nonsense.
The article didn't say if this is a reboot or if it's set in the same universe as the originals. For myself, I'm very interested in a continuation, but almost completely uninterested in a reboot.
Absolutely loved this show and very glad it wasn't one that either:
Got cancelled unexpectedly
Stayed on so long it completely lost its plot
Don't get me wrong, I feel it could easily have lasted a few more seasons, but, it was really good for its entire run and that's not a bad thing either.
Also - Don't skip the intro! It's slightly different every time and basically hilarious every time!
Honestly, any movie Leto is in, replacing him with Jim Carrey would improve it.
