There has been an increasing trend among many young Muslims who are upto the task of erecting a Caliphate, and if not Caliphate, then pushing for an Islamic brotherhood to recognize the status of Muslim Ummah.

But realistically it is not possible at all. I am not a nationalist at all, and dislike it, but its opposite ideology, globalism or internationalism is not possible either. Its a huge mistake to believe that erecting a Muslim Ummah magically solves the nationalistic conflicts of the Islamic world.

Say for instance, during the first world war, the British empire lured the Arab Muslims to fight against Ottomans in exchange for Arab nationalism/independence. However, they did not honor it fully as they forcefully created a Jewish land among the Arab nations (very cunning of the British empire to get rid of its own antisemitism).

On the other hand, after the Great War, Muslims in India were revolting against British empire in support of Ottoman Caliphate. However, the Caliphate was abolished not by the British, but by the Turks themselves. The Indian Muslims made an absolute disgrace of themselves. After failing with this movement, Maulana Azad had to resort to his own nationalism. Whereas, a guy like Jinnah could care less about what happens in a different part of Muslim world, and came out to be correct.

So, there is no point in supporting the Muslim Ummah at all, since you do not know which part of the Muslim world reacts to which events. However, that does not mean one cannot condemn the atrocities, such as Israeli atrocities. But, a Muslim ummah does not solve this issue.

A lot of the convoluted and often contradictory dogma has many Muslims questioning their faith.

Whatever your views, please keep things respectful.

One that doesn’t take Hadith written 200 years after the Prophet’s death too seriously, focuses on the basic tenets of the faith, emphasises one’s personal relationship with God and respects individual liberty?

Every fake religion says: “Just believe.”

But the Qur’an literally challenges: “Do they not reflect? Are their hearts locked?” (47:24)

If this was a lie… why would it dare you to THINK?

the term she took off her hijab

all hijabis take it off at some point in the. day. well all took it off. but we didn’t leave in in our drawers or closets .no we wore it again the next day.
"she took it off" is weaponized to say "she rejected ur belief and religion and has embraced western life style. the colonizers and. Imperialist that keep talking about how shit ur religion is, win again. she chose them over you!!! " this is not reflecting btw. This is how many muslims understand it.
we need another term to describe it that doesn’t do praise to the west and attack to islam while making the girl sound like a kaffir.

how about:

she has her hijab in her drawer or on her desk.

edit: if you don’t understand what i am talking about then this is not addressed to you. if you know you know. thats it.

Not trying to start an argument, genuinely curious

  • whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah (see 2:255)
  • and the Last Day (see chapter 107)
  • and does good, (see 2:195)

these 3 are the pillars of islam, what every prophet and messenger believed in, from adam to muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)

this is what is directed to all followers of the "millat-e-ibrahim", the followers of abraham.

this includes, muslims, jews, christians and sabians.

there is NO verse in the book of god that lists 5 pillars of islam as follows

  • shahada that there is only one God and that Muhammad is his prophet,
  • praying,
  • fasting,
  • charity
  • Hajj

its like the garbage books have corrupted minds of people for generations when 5:69 is right infront of everyone.

why not 5 pillars as traditionally decided by scholars from various spread out verses?

well there is an argument.

do pillars come at the start of something or at the end? did adam practice the 3 pillars i mentioned or the 5 pillars in traditional sense?

wasn't prayer supposedly mandated on day of me'raj? what about other prophets, did they give zakat and did hajj and did fasting? or prayed 5 times?
